for mitt romney on this one since he is the outsider and hasn't been in office and wasn't part of make thag debt and president obama has over seen in fact the unprecedented increase in size of the federal debt, and as a matter of fact in talking to senior people from romney land that is exactly what mitt romney means to do when he gets on that debate stage in denver, is go off the president not just on what romney says are ineffectual policies like the president's healthcare law and stimulus packages, but the cost of those policies as compared to romney's own perscriptions that call for smaller less expensive government. for the president what he's going to try to do is say look, maybe things aren't so great but it is partly the fault of george w. bush and the republicans who were in office prior to the democrats taking control in 2009, so we need time to fix it, and by the way, the president will also say that he wants to increase taxes on people like mitt romney to help pay down some of that debt. >> reporter: we just put of that graphic there showing the $16 trillion of debt and there ar

with that. >> if you comfortable saying that. >> i am. >> you know how they cut everything romney says, they cut out all the stuff on both sides of it? all we'll have for you is saying it tit, tit. remember faber, remember what he said? >> yes. the work on his finger. and you let him -- >> no, he stopped right after -- >> he stopped right after you said you what? >> yeah, anyway, boeing engineers and technical workers -- >> who did we have on last week who had a fluffer? >> a fluff off line of clothes. >> right, lululemon. >> is it not lululemon? >> in france it is. >> yeah, it is. what's happening here? the workers are voting to reject the pay offer from boeing. talks are set to resume today. a separate vote is required to authorize a strike so it doesn't necessarily mean it will happen. most experts say at this point that a strike is unlikely. >> we have another stock to mention this morning and that's google. shares hitting an all-time high yesterday after the search engine giant's stock at this point is now the second largest on the nasdaq 100 index. of course apple the biggest. it

. and let me explain why. i think the president's going to win but let's assume governor romney won. if he wins, that almost certainly means the republicans will hold on to the house and it will be about 50/50 in the senate, more or less the way it is now. you can't filibuster a budget. it's the only thing that doesn't require 60 votes in the senate to pass o as opposed to 51. so a lot of the policymaking will be pushed into the budget and he'll just have to pick up one or two people on that. if you assume that he is going to do what he said he's going to do, i think a lot of his priorities will be enacted. and i think it will be bad on the budget side, as i said. including for medicare t will drive the medicare trust fund out-- dry up the money by 2016. if what i think is going to happen happens and president obama wins, i think that too will break the logjam for a different reason. as senator mcconnell says their number one goal for the last four years has been denying him a second term. as soon as he gets that, they can't deny him a third term. he can't have one anyway. so i think you w
